This article explains how to connect your Facebook page to Docvivo. Messenger messages for a connected page land in the Meta inbox. You also manage the Meta lead forms linked to the page through the same connection.
Before you start
- Your role needs the permission to add Meta channels.
- You need to sign in with a Facebook account that has admin rights on the pages you're connecting.
- Pay attention to which pages you grant access to in Meta's window. Every page you allow is added to Docvivo.
Step by step
- Open Integrations from the left menu and click the Facebook card.
- Click the Connect account button, then Connect in the window that opens.
- In Meta's window, sign in with your Facebook account, choose the pages Docvivo can access, and grant permission.
- After the "Connection successful" message, the Meta Channel window opens and lists the pages you allowed.
- Choose a Data Source for each page. If there's no suitable data source, use the "Create a Data Source named Facebook …" button under the page.
- Click Add.
The pages appear in the Connected accounts list with their follower count and number of lead forms. Conversations opens only that page's Messenger conversations. The Manage menu holds the auto message, Forms, editing, Reconnect and delete options.
After you connect
- When someone new writes on Messenger, the chat is assigned to a representative in the order set by the Meta Pipeline.
- For people who write on Messenger, the representative creates the potential record using Create Potential on the customer card next to the chat. See Use the shared inbox.
- The lead forms linked to the page are listed under Manage → Forms. For a form's submissions to turn into potentials, you need to map each form's fields once: Connect Meta Lead Ads forms.
Frequently asked questions
Do Instagram lead forms come here too?
Meta links lead forms that run on Instagram to the Facebook page the ad belongs to. That's why you manage them in the Facebook page's Forms list.
I added a new page. How do I connect it?
Repeat the Connect account steps and allow the new page in Meta's window as well. Pages that were already connected aren't added again; only their connection is refreshed.
What happens if I delete the channel?
The chats, messages, lead forms and other data linked to the channel are permanently deleted. If you only want to refresh the connection, use Reconnect.
